FBLA is affiliated with the March of Dimes Foundation, which raise money to research premature birth and care for premature infants. In the past year, Iowa FBLA raised approximately $7000 for the March of Dimes. This year's goal is $8,000.

The Traveling Trophy
Each year, one local chapter takes home the Iowa FBLA Traveling Trophy for their money raised towards March of Dimes. To win this award, a chapter only needs to raise and donate more money that all the other chapters in Iowa FBLA. In the 2009-2010 school year, Winterset FBLA took home the Traveling Trophy at the State Leadership Conference after raising over $3,000.

Fundraising Ideas
To help maximize the amount raised, Iowa FBLA has come up with these suggestions for fundraising:

Dime Wars
Students bring money to their homeroom (or another classroom) to try and beat all of the other classes in money raised. Top donators recieve some prize (Pizza, Ice Cream, etc.).

Hat Day
Students pay money to wear hats at school all day and teachers can pay to wear casual clothes.
